How exciting!

My Dad has been called to serve as the Temple President of the Louisville, Kentucky temple and my Mom has been called to serve by his side in the temple as well. I am so proud of them and so excited for them! They are thrilled! They have a great love for the temple and are so excited to be able to serve and spend so much time there. For those reading this who aren't familiar with LDS temples and what the President does, he basically will be in charge of overseeing all the duties and activities in the temple and will be spending a lot of time there:) I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents! The announcement came out in the Deseret News. Here is the announcement:

Dale Roy Hettinger, 68, Crestwood 2nd Ward, Louisville Kentucky Stake, called as president of the Louisville Kentucky Temple, succeeding President Robert F. Lowe. President Hettinger's wife, Norma Lee Nunn Hettinger, will serve as temple matron. President Hettinger serves as an assistant recorder in the Louisville Kentucky Temple and as a Family History missionary. He previously served as a counselor in the Kentucky Louisville Mission presidency, stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor and in a stake Young Men presidency. A civil engineer and retired director for Louisville Jefferson County Metro Public Works and Assets, he was born in Louisville, Ky., to Roy William George and Celeste Herold Hettinger.
Sister Hettinger serves with her husband as a Family History missionary. She previously served as stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, counselor in stake and ward Primary presidencies, and director of a stake Family History Center. She was born in Glasgow, Ky., to Wesley Lee and Dorothy Mae Thompson Nunn.
