After we left Orlando (Disney World), the rest of my family headed back to Kentucky but my brother and I headed with our families to the beach for 3 days. It was great! We stopped along a beach on the drive (we followed the coast all the way down Florida) and this was Logan's first sight of the beach ever! I think it was more exciting for me than him:)















One day we decided to drive to a place that offered airboat rides through the Everglades. I was actually a nervous at the thought of taking an old rusty metal boat through a natural habitat for alligators, snakes, and crocs, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. We saw three alligators and one nest of baby alligators. The place that took the tours also had a restaurant that offered frog legs and alligator tails! Needless to say, we didn't eat there! In this picture, you can see part of the airboat in the back. They are boats that are just powered by a huge fan in the back, so there isn't anything under the boat. We were able to just skim right over the tops of areas that almost looked like land. Pretty cool.

Our resort at the beach was really nice and had beautiful landscaping in the middle. Logan loved to just walk around and explore. One day we were walking and a huge bright green iguana jumped out of the tree. Jared was convinced that someone's pet iguana had escaped. It took a while to convince him that they run wild in Florida!


















I took this picture to show all the sand on Logan's bum but the picture turned out to be good anyways. His shorts were about to fall off because they were so heavy with sand. By the way, I'm not a huge fan of having sand all over me. Once Logan got used to the sand (he wasn't crazy about it at first) he thought it was hilarious to take handfuls and throw them in my face...
